According to a new and exclusive report from Italian news source Tutto Mercato Web, Southampton have reignited their interest in Juventus striker and West Ham target Simone Zaza, who is available for €30m.

The report states that Claude Puel’s side have been in contact with Juve over a potential move this summer.

Months ago, it was reported that Saints were considering a move for the Italy international but the interest appeared to have cooled down and all talk surrounding a move for the forward had fizzled out, meaning that West Ham had an even better chance of signing him, given their links to the charismatic forward

However, it now looks as though they have gone back in for Zaza and the exclusive claim from Tutto Mercato Web claims that Saints are keen on him once again.

The report suggests that Zaza may just be a target for Saints and not a priority; with Claude Puel still seemingly assessing the current options at his disposal.

This indicates that it should be time for The Irons to make a move for Zaza if their interest is concrete, given their desire to sign a new deal.

Zaza was, however, reported to have expressed a desire to remain in Italy and seek first-team football in the Serie A; but elsewhere from Juventus.
