# Has Jack Sullivan dropped a major Carlos Bacca hint?

West Ham continue to wait and see if they’ll ever sign striker Carlos Bacca from AC Milan this summer.

It’s well-known the club are looking to sign a new striker this summer to help fire them above and beyond all previous expectations, and after the rejections of Michy Batshuayi and Alexandre Lacazette the Hammers have turned their attentions to Carlos Bacca.

For the last month or so, West Ham have been trying to close a deal for the Colombian striker. A fee worth £25.6m has been agreed with AC Milan for the 29-year-old, and a four-year contract offer worth £75,000-a-week plus bonuses has been on the table for some time.

Initially Bacca rejected the offer, stating he was only looking for a move to Champions League club, but when interest from Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, PSG and Napoli dried up he was left with little option but to stay at Milan or join West Ham.

However, having seen West Ham progress further in the Europa League, and his other options cool their interest, Bacca has opened up to the idea of joining West Ham and is now willing to commit to a move.

Unfortunately West Ham were keen on selling Diafra Sakho to West Brom to help finance the move but a failed medical this week saw the Baggies pull the plug on the £16m deal which has for the time being blocked Bacca’s transfer to West Ham.

Jack Sullivan has taken to Twitter this evening and retweeted a picture of Carlos Bacca, after the latest news surfaced that the club were undecided on pressing ahead of a deal to sign Bacca before selling a player or two, hinting that his move to the club is well and truly on – or so that’s how many West Ham fans are reading it.

Developments are expected in the next week or so but the Hammers are set to make a major signing in the next 48-72 hours as Andre Ayew will join from Swansea in a club record deal worth £20m.
