# West Ham launch £4m bid for Martin Olsson

West Ham are preparing a new £4m offer for Norwich defender Martin Olsson, according to [the Daily Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3718378/Romelu-Lukaku-tells-Everton-wants-Chelsea-close-former-striker-club-stand-firm-75m-tag.html).

Norwich rejected a £3m bid from [West Ham](https://readwestham.com/) yesterday, with the [Hammers](https://readwestham.com/) looking to strengthen their left-back depth. Aaron Creswell is currently nursing a long-term injury that will see him miss four months, with Slaven Bilic eyeing Olsson as his replacement.

The report says that [West Ham](https://readwestham.com/) are preparing to return with a second offer worth £4m, but Norwich are setting his price at £5m. This means that [West Ham](https://readwestham.com/) will have to up their offer again if they are to land their target.

The Swedish left-back has just one year left on his Norwich contract and is wary of signing a new deal after the club’s second relegation in two seasons.

[West Ham](https://readwestham.com/) are hoping to conclude a deal, but Norwich will be looking to keep their first-choice left-back this summer.
