# Enner Valencia’s move to Galatasaray will be announced ‘soon’

West Ham striker Enner Valencia’s proposed move to Galatasaray will be announced soon, according to Turkish source [Yeni Asir](https://www.yeniasir.com.tr/spor/2016/07/31/valencia-harekati).

It has been no secret that [Valencia](https://readlaliga.com/) has been eager to secure a move away from East London this summer following two less than successful seasons with the club following his £12m move from Pachuca.

For a long time a move to Lazio was on the cards with [Valencia](https://readlaliga.com/) already agreeing to the move but West Ham struggled to agree a deal with the Serie A side, with Lazio favouring a loan deal and the Hammers eyeing a permanent sale.

West Ham would like to recoup as much of the £12m they shelled out for [Valencia](https://readlaliga.com/) as possible, but not before a replacement is signed and through the doors.

[Valencia](https://readlaliga.com/) has scored just 10 goals in 61 appearances for West Ham since his 2014 arrival, and perhaps a move would be best for all involved. With the Ecuadorian striker giving his consent to a move to Turkey, it’s now up to Galatasaray to agree a fee for the striker.

It was reported earlier this week that Valencia had [agreed to a move](https://readwestham.com/2016/07/28/enner-valencia-agrees-move-to-galatasaray/) to the Super Lig giants in principle, and a deal appears likely to be reached.

It’s believes that Galatasaray would [favour a loan move](https://readwestham.com/2016/06/27/galatasaray-make-loan-bid-enner-valencia/) with an option to buy next summer, while Turkish rivals Trabzonspor are also hoping to sign the Ecuadorian striker.
