# West Ham in talks with Robin Van Persie

According to [Sport ES](https://www.sport.es/es/noticias/barca/van-persie-ofrece-barca-como-cuarto-delantero-5282543), West Ham are in talks with Fenerbahce forward Robin Van Persie.

The report says that Stoke and West Ham are both in talks with the striker as they look to bring the forward back to the Premier League. However, talks are not very far down the line and a deal is not thought to be close with either side.

West Ham are looking for a prolific forward this summer and they don’t come much better than Van Persie if you are comparing records. The Dutchman has scored 234 career goals, with the majority of them coming in England.

Van Persie scored 132 goals for Arsenal over a 8-year stay in North London. He then made the controversial switch to Manchester United, where he scored 58 goals in three seasons.

The 32-year-old then joined Fenerbahce, where he scored 22 goals last season, proving that he still has the goalscoring touch but the Turkish side are now looking to sell the Dutchman.
