# West Ham linked with Jakub Blaszczykowski

West Ham are being linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund winger Jakub Blaszczykowski, who is also wanted by Liverpool, Southampton, Hertha Berlin and Wolfsburg.

According to Polish source [Interia Sport](https://sport.interia.pl/bundesliga/news-jakub-blaszczykowski-odejdzie-z-borussii-niemcy-sa-tego-pewn,nId,2238343), Borussia Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel doesn’t see a long-term future at the club for Blaszczykowski and is pushing for a permanent sale following a loan spell at Fiorentina.

The 30-year-old winger joined Dortmund in 2007 from Wisla Krakow for a reported £2.6m and became a cult-hero in Germany, making 253 appearances for Dortmund in eight seasons, scoring 32 goals and assisting 52 times.

‘Kuba’ formed a strong rapport with Jurgen Klopp during their time at Dortmund together but with Klopp’s departure spelt the beginning of the end for the Poland international at the club.

Tuchel immediately loaned him to Serie A side Fiorentina where he endured an injury-hit season and started just nine times in the league and made 20 appearances in all competitions, scoring twice.

According to Kicker, the arrivals of Emre Mor and Ousmane Dembele, with both Andre Schurrle and Mario Gotze edging closer to signing for Dortmund, ‘Kuba’ is almost certain to leave the club this summer.

Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp are eager to sign the winger in a cut-price deal, but now the likes of West Ham and Southampton are believed to be interested, while Wolfsburg and Hertha Berlin would like to keep ‘Kuba’ in the Bundesliga.

“*It’s nice that Kuba is so sought after. Should he leave Dortmund, then there will certainly be a decision on his future until August,*” said his adviser Wolfgang Vöge the *[WAZ](https://www.sport1.de/transfermarkt/2016/07/jakub-blaszczykowski-vor-bvb-abschied-wolfsburg-interessiert).*

Under contract until the summer of 2018, Blaszczykowski is unlikely to see out the remainder of his contract.
