# Crystal Palace linked with move for West Ham forward

Crystal Palace are reportedly interested in signing Diafra Sakho, weeks after they signed James Tomkins.

According to Darren Lewis of [The Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/diafra-sakho-transfer-chase-grows-8452247), Alan Pardew’s side have joined Premier League rivals Sunderland, Swansea City, and West Brom in showing an interest in signing the 26-year-old wantaway striker.

Sakho is so keen to leave West Ham that he refused to travel with the squad for their pre-season training camp in Austria and it appears that he will be allowed to leave once the Hammers are able to secure a new striker.

Sunderland had a bid of £11million for Sakho rejected by West Ham earlier in the window, with Slaven Bilic’s club reportedly holding out for a fee of around £15million.

Palace have shown, after making two huge bids for Michy Batshuayi and Christian Benteke, both of whom were linked with the Hammers at stages, that they have money to spend this summer so they will be able to meet West Ham’s asking price if they wish to do so.
