Ten players West Ham should consider signing on loan

In recent seasons, West Ham have made smart use of the loan market to bolster their squad in areas of need ahead of the grudging campaign.

In 2014/15, Carl Jenkinson’s arrival from Arsenal gave the Hammers a viable right-back option and the former Charlton man had the best season of his career, while Barcelona midfielder Alex Song added some star quality to the midfield.

While they didn’t have the best of seasons last year, again on loan with the Hammers, Victor Moses was a more than serviceable player on a one-year rental from Chelsea.

West Ham are believed to be diving into the loan market again as they close in on the signing of Jonathan Calleri (pictured above) from Deportivo Maldonado.

The highly-rated Argentine striker is one of the most promising young forwards in South America and also had offers from Sevilla and Inter Milan before settling on West Ham.

But there are more astute loan signings out there, so here’s ten we think could really add something to the squad.
