# West Ham given boost in race to sign Brady

West Ham have been given a boost in their interest to sign Norwich City’s Robbie Brady as Leicester City drop out of the running.

The [Mirror](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/leicester-end-robbie-brady-pursuit-8374722) reports that Norwich have put a massive price tag of £20 million on the Irish left-back, which is said to have put off the Premier League champions. He still has two years on his current contract after signing from Hull City last summer.

While Brady wants to play in the Champions League next season, West Ham would be an improvement for him as Norwich will be playing in the Championship next season. The side were relegated alongside Newcastle and Aston Villa.

The 24-year-old spent part of his youth career at Manchester United, who gave the Irishman his only game with the Red Devils in Sept. 2012. He spent a period of time on loan to Hull City, who signed him permanently in Jan. 2013.

He left to join Norwich in 2015 for a reported £7 million, after Hull City were relegated to the Championship. The Tigers bounced back up to the Premier League after winning the play-off final against Sheffield Wednesday.
