# Babacar is West Ham’s ‘Plan B’ if they miss out on Bacca

West Ham have aptly made Khouma Babacar their ‘Plan B’ should they fail to sign Carlos Bacca from AC Milan this summer, according to Italian source [Tuttomercatoweb](https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/serie-a/fiorentina-babacar-e-il-piano-b-del-west-ham-se-salta-bacca-851675).

The 23-year-old netted seven times in 24 appearances for Fiorentina last season and has three years left to run on his current contract at the club having been there since he was 15.

Babacar is wanted by both West Ham, Middlesbrough and Everton and [his agent flew to England yesterday](https://readwestham.com/2016/07/07/west-ham-target-babacars-agent-arrives-england/) to hold talks with representatives of all three clubs over the weekend.

The Hammers are believed to be close to signing Carlos Bacca in a £25.7m deal from AC Milan, and will hold talks with the player and his representatives early next week over a move.

With 20 goals in 42 games last season in his one and only season in Serie A, Bacca is believed to be looking for £120,000-a-week, matching Dimitri Payet as West Ham’s highest-earner. The Hammers have offered Bacca a four-year deal worth £65,000-a-week after tax, and talks will continue to find a mutually agreeable deal.
