# Juventus accept Wolfsburg’s Zaza bid

Juventus are ready to accept an offer from Wolfsburg for striker Simone Zaza, despite interest from West Ham, according to Calciomercato (via [Football Italia](https://www.football-italia.net/86921/juventus-accept-zaza-offer)).

The former Sassuolo striker has been on West Ham’s radar for some time with the Hammers making a club-record €27m bid for his services earlier this summer – €23m up front and €4m in bonuses – but it appears that won’t be enough.

The Bundesliga side have offered €30m for the 25-year-old, €25m fee with a further €5m in performance-based bonuses, and Juventus are ready to accept this offer.

Zaza was used mainly as Juve’s fourth-choice striker last season behind Paulo Dybala, Mario Mandzukic and the now departed Alvaro Morata, but still managed to find the net five times in 19 appearances, four of those goals were from the bench.

Calciomercato state that Wolfsburg are ready to offer Zaza a five-deal worth £50,000-a-week plus bonuses – an offer the Hammers are well capable to match or even beat should they have a bid accepted.

Reputable Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio also [confirmed that Wolfsburg are keen on signing the Italian international](https://readwestham.com/2016/07/06/wolfsburg-keen-west-ham-targets-zaza-pereyra/). Di Marzio’s report goes on to add that Zaza doesn’t fancy a move to Germany, sparking signals at the Olympic Stadium that a swoop for the Italian forward could be on the cards.

It’s believed that, should Zaza decide to leave the Old Lady this summer, his preferred destination would be the Premier League or La Liga, meaning should West Ham up their offer they’re still in with a chance to land the striker.
