# Crystal Palace make bid for Hammers target Vazquez

Crystal Palace have lodged a bid for West Ham, Tottenham and West Brom target Franco Vazquez, who is also wanted by AC Milan.

The Palermo attacker enjoyed a stunning season in Serie A scoring eight goals and recording six assists from attacking midfield.

Palermo had already turned down one offer of €15m this summer from [West Brom](https://readwestbrom.com/), stating that they will not sell Vazquez for a penny less than their asking price.

West Ham and [Tottenham](https://readtottenham.com/) have also registered interest in signing the 27-year-old this summer who has won two caps for Italy after switching allegiance from Argentina where he was born.

However, reputable Italian journalist [Gianluca di Marzio](https://gianlucadimarzio.com/news-cat/palermo-il-crystal-palace-ci-prova-per-vazquez/) is now reporting that Crystal Palace have lodged a bid for Vazquez, who is valued at €25m by his employers, but it’s believed that Palermo consider the offer too low to sanction a sale.

It was [reported earlier this summer](https://readwestham.com/2016/06/29/west-ham-set-miss-franco-vazquez/) that perhaps AC Milan had won the race to sign Vazquez as they were prepared to match Palermo’s asking price in full, but no official move has been made.

Vazquez would be the second forward Palace are looking to edge out West Ham for, as they lead the £30m-race for Liverpool striker Christian Benteke.
