# Besiktas want €5 million for Hutchinson

According to Turkish site [habervitrini.com](https://habervitrini.com/spor/ste-besiktasta-mario-gomez-gokhan-tore-ve-sosa-gercekleri-850255), Besiktas are demanding €5 million for their Canadian midfielder Atiba Hutchinson.

This follows news that West Ham have had [two bids rejected](https://readwestham.com/2016/07/03/west-ham-e3-5m-bid-rejected-hutchinson/) for the 33-year-old, with the latest one being valued at about €3.5 million.

Now an asking price is known, West Ham might return interest in the midfielder, who plays for Slaven Bilic’s former team. He signed for Besiktas in 2013, joining from Dutch side PSV Eindhoven on a free transfer. He had hoped that he would, in fact, be making a move to the Premier League, however, there was no interest in acquiring his services.

Hutchinson plays as a defensive midfielder. In the past however he has also played at right-back, a position that West Ham have very little depth in. Signing a versatile player may, therefore, be very beneficial, especially with the potential of a Europa League campaign this season.
