# Fiorentina want £4m for West Ham target Mario Gomez

West Ham have been told to pay £4m if they wish to sign Fiorentina striker Mario Gomez this summer, according to the [Express](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/685586/West-Ham-Mario-Gomez-Besiktas-Fiorentina-Transfer-News-Atiba-Hutchinson-Slaven-Bilic-News).

The 30-year-old striker was in fine form last season on loan with Besiktas, netting 26 goals as the Turkish outfit won the Super Lig title. His efforts were not overlooked by Joachim Low who called up the veteran front-man to his German national squad for [Euro 2016](https://readeuro2016.com/) where he’s netted in two of his three starts.

The Super Lig champions are keen to bring back Gomez, but West Ham are the side leading the race as they can, financially speaking, offer the best deal to both Fiorentina and Gomez. The striker is under contract with the Serie A club until 2017 but they are looking to cash-in following a strong season.

Besiktas risk infringing upon Financial Fair Play regulations if they push ahead with a deal to sign the former Bayern Munich striker, which is why they’re so eager to come to an agreement with the Hammers for the likes of Gokhan Tore and Atiba Hutchinson.

However, should West Ham pip Besiktas to the signing of Gomez, that could spoil their working relationship and deals for Hutchinson and Tore become that much harder to agree upon.
