# Janssen hits out at Alkmaar, wants Spurs move

AZ Alkmaar’s Vincent Janssen has hit out at his club after they rejected a £16.5 million bid from Tottenham Hotspur.

Janssen, who has been heavily linked also with a move to West Ham, is supposedly very disappointed that his team rejected the bid. Alkmaar are desperate to keep hold of the striker, who netted in the Netherlands’ 2-1 victory over England in March.

Speaking to Dutch TV station [RTVNH](https://www.rtvnh.nl/sport/187647/janssen-teleurgesteld-in-az-ik-wil-graag-volgende-stap-maken), he said that “I have expressed my choice to the club. In my opinion, Spurs bid a high amount.

“At the moment I’m still a bit disappointed with AZ.”

Last season Janssen was the top scorer in the Dutch Eredivisie, netting 27 times in 34 appearances. He also made his international debut against France in March, before scoring a penalty against England the following week.

Spurs and West Ham are not the only sides interested in acquiring the dutchman, with Manchester United also in the hunt for the 22-year-old.
