The next five West Ham players to be handed an international cap

The next five West Ham players to be handed an international cap

West Ham had four representatives at Euro 2016: Dimitri Payet with France, Angelo Ogbonna of Italy, Republic of Ireland stopper Darren Randolph and Wales stalwart James Collins.

They have all enjoyed good tournaments with their national sides, with just Randolph and Ireland having made the trip home after their defeat to Ogbonna’s Italy in the last 16.

Despite this, there was a lot of uproar on social media about the lack of West Ham players in the England squad.

Cases could be made for the likes of Mark Noble, Aaron Cresswell and Michail Antonio to be included by the now departed Roy Hodgson in the national side who went crashing out of the competition to minnows Iceland in the last 16.

None of the above trio have been capped at international level, so we have picked out the next five West Ham players most likely to receive their first international cap – not all of those Englishmen make the cut!
