# Real Madrid meet with Payet’s agent

Representatives from Real Madrid reportedly met with the agent of Dimitri Payet in London yesterday to discuss the possibility of joining the club this summer.

According to [Tuttosport](https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/europa/west-ham-payet-brilla-agli-europei-e-l-agente-vede-il-real-madrid-844282), Real Madrid want to make a big splash in the transfer market this summer, and have identified West Ham star Dimitri Payet as the man they want to do just that.

The 29-year-old lit up the Premier League this past season following his what’s looking like a bargain £10.5m move from Marseille last summer, and has continued that form into Euro 2016 where he’s scored two goals and recorded one assist in his two starts at the competition.

These performances have caught the eye of Real Madrid who have reportedly met with the Frenchman’s agent in London yesterday to discuss the possibility of a move from East London to the heart of Spain after the Euros.

West Ham are said to have put a £60m price-tag on Payet’s head in order to put off potential suitors this summer, but a club of the stature of Real Madrid are more than capable of meeting the fee.

It was claimed yesterday that Payet [would not look to leave the Hammers unless Real Madrid came calling](https://readwestham.com/2016/06/20/dimitri-payet-open-real-madrid-move/). Just got to hope his phone’s switched off.
