# Bayern, Arsenal keen on Hammers target Murillo

Arsenal have lodged an enquiry into the availability of Inter Milan centre-back Jeison Murillo who is always wanted by Bayern Munich, West Ham and Zenit St. Petersburg.

According to Sky Italia, quoted by [Inside Futbol](https://www.insidefutbol.com/2016/06/18/arsenal-lodge-enquiry-for-inter-defender-but-face-bayern-munich-opposition/291235/), the Gunners have made their interest known in the defender who has been linked with a move away from the San Siro throughout the summer.

The Colombian only signed for Inter last summer from La Liga side Granada but they would be open to selling him just a year later, provided they make a profit on the €8m they shelled out.

Stoke City and Everton have both also been linked with moves for the 24-year-old during this transfer window, who is away with the Colombian national team at the Copa America and has helped them progress to the semi-final stage where a match against Chile awaits.

The Hammers have four capable first-team centre-halves on their books, but the future of two of them has been questioned in recent weeks.

Academy graduate James Tomkins has been in the first team set-up now for the best part of a decade but is mainly seen as a rotational player by Slaven Bilic and it is reported that Stoke are interested in signing him but would need to pay in excess of £12m.

Angelo Ogbonna has also been linked with a move. The Italian is with the national squad at Euro 2016 and after an impressive season following his move from Juventus last summer, the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea have all been credited with interest, while Roma have seen a bid turned down for the £20m-rated defender.
