# West Ham battling Inter Milan and Benfica to teenage sensation

West Ham are understood to be lining up a £10m swoop for Dinamo Zagreb starlet Ante Coric, according to [talkSPORT](https://talksport.com/football/west-ham-transfer-news-slaven-bilic-targeting-ps10m-deal-croatian-starlet-ante-coric?).

The original story comes from Croatian source Vecernji List who state that the Hammers are determined to beat both Inter Milan and Benfica to the services of the teenage midfielder.

The 19-year-old has already made 52 appearances for Dinamo Zagreb in league football, and starred for them in their Champions League campaign this season where they took on and defeated Arsenal.

Coric was included in Croatia’s 23-man squad for Euro 2016, and has close ties to former national team coach and West Ham manager Slaven Bilic, who is always keeping an eye on the top talents from his homeland.

The Hammers have already reportedly lodged a £10m bid for the attacking midfielder, who could learn a lot from the likes of Dimitri Payet and Manuel Lanzini – the players he will be vying for first-team appearances with.

With a bulkier campaign expected this forthcoming season due to another Europa League campaign, West Ham are looking to add numbers to their squad in all areas.
