# West Ham make bid for international striker

West Ham have made a £16million bid to AC Milan for striker Carlos Bacca, according to a report from Simon Jones of [The Mail](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3616987/West-Ham-launch-16m-raid-AC-Milan-striker-Carlos-Bacca-Slaven-Bilic-steps-search-striker.html).

The Colombian international has been linked with a possible move to West Ham for a while and after the club were unsuccessful in trying to sign Alexandre Lacazette from French side Lyon, it seems like they’ve switched focus to Bacca.

The 29-year-old only joined Milan from Sevilla in July 2015 and despite him scoring 20 goals in 43 appearances, they are apparently open to letting him move on.

However, [Sky Italia](https://gianlucadimarzio.com/news-cat/milan-offerta-del-west-ham-per-bacca-rossoneri-disposti-a-trattare-i-dettagli/)‘s Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Milan want a fee of £19million for the striker.

After reports of bids around the £30million mark for Lacazette were reported, it seems as if the Hammers have the money to make such a bid, it just depends if they value Bacca that highly.

The only other stumbling block could be wages with the striker wanting £60,000-a-week.
