West Ham “welcomed” Manchester United to the Boleyn Ground for it’s 2398th and final chapter of its illustrious story.
While some have dubbed last night pre-game events as a ‘throwback to the 1980’s hooligan days’, it’s been widely blown out of proportion – speaking as someone who was there watching.
It was a carnival atmosphere, one for everyone to remember. While some fans might’ve stepped over that line, the vast majority walked it to perfection. The perfect mix between intimidation and aggression – the West Ham way.
