# AC Milan poised to beat West Ham and Arsenal to Barcelona target

West Ham, Arsenal, and Barcelona have all been dealt major transfer blows as AC Milan are closing in on the signing of Celta Vigo forward Nolito.

According to the [Express](https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/666267/Arsenal-West-Ham-Barcelona-Milan-Nolito-stumped-transfer-gossip), the former La Masia product has agreed terms to a move to the San Siro in principle and is eager to move to Serie A.

The Spanish international winger has been linked with moves to Arsenal and Barcelona in recent transfer windows following an impressive late-career resurgence with Celta Vigo, having double-digit scoring seasons in La Liga each of the last three seasons.

West Ham were hopeful of signing the left-sided forward this summer, similar to when they signed Dimitri Payet last summer – another late-bloomer – to help push their bid for European football.

However, it appears that the Italian giants are set to complete the signing of the 29-year-old providing they meet his €18m release clause in his contract.

It was also believed that both Atletico Madrid and Valencia had been eyeing summer moves for Nolito before AC Milan made their interest known and agreed personal terms with the player.

West Ham will be lacking wide players next season with both Victor Moses and Emmanuel Emenike set to return to their parent clubs Chelsea and Fenerbahce respectively when their loans expire at the end of the season.

The club are also said to be open to offers for Enner Valencia, who has only netted eight times in the Premier League in 48 appearances since signing for £11.5m back in 2014.
