# Defender linked with move to Scottish side

West Ham left-back Stephen Hendrie is being linked with a move north of the border, to Scottish Premiership side Dundee, as reported by [The Evening Telegraph](https://www.eveningtelegraph.co.uk/2015/12/29/dundee-linked-with-move-for-west-ham-kid-stephen-hendrie/).

The 20-year-old joined the Hammers in January this year after his contract with Hamilton Accies expired and the two clubs came to an agreement on compensation.

Despite featuring in pre-season, the Scottish U21 international full-back has not been given a chance in the first team and a move back to Scotland, either on loan or permanently, looks to be on the cards.

Hendrie, who can also play in midfield, would help bolster a Dundee defence that has shipped 10 goals in their last four games, something which manager Paul Hartley is keen to do.

City rivals Dundee United look all but certain to be relegated from the top flight, but Dundee are not clear from danger either, sitting just three points above the relegation playoff spot, so any reinforcement would be most welcome.
