# Opposition View: Southampton

With another draw recently to Aston Villa, West Ham will really be wanting a win. The Hammers face Southampton on the 28th of December and we’ve asked [Read Southampton](https://readsouthampton.com/) editor Luke Osman what he thinks is going to happen. It may be worth adding that the interview was conducted before Southampton’s incredible 4-0 victory over Arsenal last night.

**What do you think of Southampton so far this season?**

It’s been pretty underwhelming so far. We started off poorly, had a very good run of form in which we beat Chelsea away from home, but since the international break it’s fallen apart. We’re without a win in six and it’s not looking too good.

**Who’s your danger man?**

Sadio Mane. Although he is not enjoying his best run of form, he’s still the most dangerous player in our squad and still has the ability to turn a game on its head almost on his own.

**Team Prediction?**

Stekelenburg; Cedric, Fonte, Van Dijk, Bertrand; Clasie, Wanyama, Davis; Mane, Pelle, Tadic.

**Score prediction?**

It’ll be an interesting one. I’m going to go for 1-1, goals from Mane and Antonio for you.

**Who’s a better manager Bilic or Koeman?**

They’re both very different managers, but I’d have to say Koeman. He’s been everywhere and has enjoyed success with us for a longer period of time, despite doing his job with one hand tied behind his back due to the lack of financial backing at the club. However, I have no doubt that Bilic will grow to be as good, if not better.

**What player are you most worried about?**

If he’s fit, Manuel Lanzini. I’ve watched him on several occasions this season and he has it all; pace, precision and an eye for goal.

**Where do you think you will finish?**

I think we’ll finish mid-table. I’d be happy with a top half finish, but see us finishing around 13th place. Other teams have strengthened so well whereas we’ve only replaced our departing players, as opposed to actually improving ourselves.
