# Norwich agree cut-price winger deal

Norwich City have agreed a deal for West Ham winger Matt Jarvis, according to a number of [media outlets](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3372566/Norwich-City-agree-cut-price-2-5m-deal-West-Ham-loanee-winger-Matt-Jarvis.html).

The deal is thought to be worth around a cut-price £2.5m.

Any figure in that region does, of course, represent a huge loss for the Hammers, who spent near-on £11m on the Englishman from Wolves back in 2012.

The 29-year-old joined the Canaries in the dying embers of the summer transfer window on loan and Norwich manager Alex Neil is said to have been impressed.

Whilst a sale represents a loss, it also represents good business by West Ham, who could be looking to free up funds for Slaven Bilic.

Gokhan Tore and Atiba Hutchinson, both of Besiktas, have recently been linked.

Bilic worked with both players in Turkey and selling off unwanted assets such as Jarvis could be a shrewd way to recoup some money to help those purchases become a reality.
