# West Ham forward ruled out for six weeks

West Ham have been dealt another cruel blow with the [news](https://www.whufc.com/News/Articles/2015/December/8-December/Manuel-Lanzini-update) that Manuel Lanzini will be out for up to six weeks with a quadriceps injury.

The Argentinian suffered the injury in training as the Hammers prepared for their trip to face Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The 22-year-old has been in fine form for the Hammers this season, and it is no surprise that they want to keep him at the club on a permanent basis. He’s scored four goals in 12 Premier League appearances, including the opener in the recent 1-1 draw at home to Everton and a consolation goal in the 4-1 defeat to Spurs.

Lanzini is the third Hammers player to be ruled out over the busy Christmas period after the losses of both Dmitri Payet and Diafra Sakho.

Furthermore, [Victor Moses is set for a scan on his injury today](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11685/10092234/west-ham-forward-victor-moses-to-have-scan-on-tuesday) and West Ham fear that he too will miss a large portion of the festive period.
