Projected West Ham FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Ratings

Projected West Ham FIFA 16 Ultimate Team Ratings

The 2015/16 season has already begun, which means one thing – the new FIFA 16 game is coming out in just a matter of weeks!

It’s most popular game mode, FIFA Ultimate Team, will surely see several of West Ham’s players experience rating changes to reflect their true ability.

With that in mind, we’ve had a crack at projecting those rating changes. Please note, bias may be a factor.

Goalkeepers:

Adrian – 76 -> 79 (+3)

Rightfully earning a Team of the Season place with his efforts last term, we think the Spaniard is well in-line for a major upgrade on the new game. One of the best shot-stoppers in the league, it’s reflected in his rating rise.

Darren Randolph – 72 -> 72 (+0)

The summer arrival from Birmingham hasn’t done anything since arriving besides promting the club to possibly look to replace him this early into his career at the club.

Raphael Spiegel – 58 -> 60 (+2)

The Swiss keeper has another year under his belt and has probably improved his game in that time. Got to ask questions if he hasn’t, right?

Defenders

Winston Reid – 75 -> 77 (+2)

Our key man last season decided to pen a long-term deal with the club instead of a move away. Reid continues to be one of the more underrated defenders in the Premier League.

James Tomkins – 73 -> 75 (+2)

It was quite a joke (again) last year that Tomkins wasn’t a gold rated card when the likes of Mike Williamson and Steven Taylor were.

Angelo Ogbonna – 77 -> 78 (+1)

Felt his raw athleticism was underrated on his last card. Definitely one of the quickest centre-back’s in the Premier League and will hopefully play like it this season.

Aaron Cresswell – 70 -> 77 (+7)

Cresswell proved last season he was one of the best four or five left-back’s in the Premier League, and deserves to be rated as such this season.

James Collins – 74 -> 74 (+0)

Solid and dependable.

Carl Jenkinson – 70 > 74 (+4)

The Arsenal man has re-joined on a season-long loan, and enjoyed a great year last season and will surely be upgraded on the new FIFA.

Joey O’Brien – 70 > 69 (-1)

The versatile defender is on the slide unfortunately. No one’s buying his card anyway so who actually cares.

Reece Burke – 54 > 63 (+9)

One of the young up and comers at Upton Park, Burke receives a strong boost to his rating on the new game in our view, being one of the most sought after bronze cards.

Midfielders

Mark Noble – 75 > 76 (+1)

Marky Nobes, although an unattractive card, will continue to be a solid option in the lower gold ranks. Hopefully he’s given 99 penalties or something.

Kevin Nolan – 75 > 74 (-1)

This is probably the beginning of the end for Kevin Nolan. He’s being phased out of the team and his performances are deteriorating, reflected in his lowered rating.

Diego Poyet – 61 > 69 (+8)

Recently departed to join up with the MK Dons on a season-long loan, Poyet will be a solid CDM option in Championship-centric squads going forward.

Pedro Obiang – 73 > 74 (+1)

One of our newest signings will likely have a very beastly silver card on the new FIFA. No one knows much about him really, ala Kouyate.

Matt Jarvis – 76 > 75 (-1)

His saving grace is his impressive pace. Other than that, why bother.

Cheikhou Kouyate – 71 > 76 (+5)

Our Senegalese prince will have a boss CM card on the next game. One of the most physical and athletic players around, Kouyate will again be an in-demand player.

Morgan Amalfitano – 75 > 75 (+0)

He’s not that magical, you know.

Dimitri Payet – 80 > 82 (+2)

Our marquee signing and saviour, Dimitri Payet. Our highest rated player in our opinion on the new game. Will be a quality option in any BPL squad or French hybrid.

Strikers

Andy Carroll – 77 > 78 (+1)

Because why not.

Mauro Zarate – 77 > 76 (-1)

Despite breaking into the West Ham team this season, Zarate’s poor exploits last term see him drop a point in his rating. Moved him back to CF as he plays more off the striker, too.

Enner Valencia – 75 > 77 (+2)

Exciting on his day, hopefully we get to see more of them days when he’s back from his injury.

Diafra Sakho – 72 > 78 (+6)

Probably our most underrated player last season on the game. Now a proven Premier League goalscorer, Sakho needs to be rated like one.

Modibo Maiga – 72 > 70 (-2)

The sooner he leaves the better. Had his in-form FC Metz card last year, what a waste that was. Almost as bad as the £6m we spent on signing him.

New Signings

None of these players were on the game last season, so we’ve taken rough guesses at how we feel they’ll be ranked based on their ability and current roles in the squad. Can imagine that Reece Oxford card will be much like Hector Bellerin’s last year as one of the most expensive bronze’s around.
