# Burak Yilmaz will decide whether to accept West Ham move early next week

Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz will decide early next week whether he wants to complete a €10m to West Ham this summer.

News broke on Friday afternoon that the [Hammers were set to sign Yilmaz](https://readwestham.com/2015/08/14/west-ham-to-sign-burak-yilmaz-from-galatasaray-after-agreeing-e9m-fee-and-three-year-contract/) after they lodged a bid for the Turkish international striker in the region of €10m, and had agreed a three-year contract worth £48,000-a-week.

Yilmaz’s agent, Ogan Tarhan, then [came out to comment on the reports](https://readwestham.com/2015/08/16/confirmed-west-ham-make-bid-burak-yilmaz-talks-continue-next-week/), confirming that West Ham had in fact made an offer for the 29-year-old, and that talks will commence after Galatasaray’s game with Sivasspor last night, which ended in a 2-2 draw after Yilmaz was dropped to the bench.

*“West Ham made an offer but we will not enter talks before the Galatasaray –Sivasspor game.* *After the game we will consider the move”* Tarhan told Lig Radyo yesterday.

Today, reports from Turkish newspaper [Demokrat Haber](https://www.demokrathaber.net/spor/bilic-ten-burak-yilmaz-aciklamasi-h53089.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter) are claiming that having agreed a contract with his agent, West Ham are poised to complete the signing of Yilmaz, but the player will give his final decision on the move early next week.

With 111 goals in 161 games in Turkish football, Yilmaz has the pedigree and production that West Ham are looking for to add to their squad.
