# West Ham fans react to Carlton Cole coming back to West Ham

West Ham legend Carlton Cole [has returned to the club](https://readwestham.com/2015/08/12/west-ham-bring-back-carlton-cole/) this week to do some fitness training with the club while he waits for a new contract.

Released by the Hammers earlier this summer, Cole has been looking for a club ever since and has been linked with moves around the globe to the MLS and the Australian A-League.

His former Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri has also shown interest in signing the former England international on a free transfer this summer for his new side Leicester as they look to cement their Premier League status.

As usual, West Ham twitter went into meltdown at the news, thinking the club had done the unthinkable in bringing back Cole.
