West Ham are among the clubs interested in £7m-rated Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani, according to Sky Sports.
Sky sources report that the 27-year-old is also being linked with fellow Premier League sides Leicester City, Newcastle United and West Bromwich Albion.
The Algerian first came to prominence last summer at the World Cup in Brazil, in which he netted twice in four matches at the finals. He scored 15 goals in all competitions during the 2014/15 season, including two goals in the UEFA Champions League.
Lisbon have reportedly set an asking price of at least £7m, which is likely to rise as offers begin to come in. Turkish outfit Fenerbahce were said to be closing in on the forward, however they are unlikely to push on with the deal having signed Robin van Persie from Manchester United.
The Hammers have not denied showing an interest in Slimani, with the striker saying himself that he turned down a move to Upton Park previously.
He told Le Buteur early this year: ‘it is true that there was an offer from West Ham for me, but I chose to remain at the club as I think stability is a good thing.’
