Real Madrid have ruled out letting youngster Jese Rodriguez leave the club on loan, according to Marca.
West Ham were amongst the clubs linked with the Spanish U21 forward in the current transfer window, but now this has been ruled out altogether.
The footballing future of the Spaniard had been circulating for a while, but former Irons managerial target Rafael Benitez has ruled out letting the 22-year-old depart.
Marca, a Spanish publication that is dominated by Barcelona and Real Madrid media, stated the following.
‘Rafa Benitez sees a bright future for Jese. He has spoken about the youngster’s chances of progressing and that he would like the player from the Canaries to stay.’
The decision by Real is one of a huge blow to the Hammers, as the club is in a rather desperate need of some attacking talent.
However, the Irons remain favourites to sign Marseille attacker Dimitri Payet having placed a recent bid for the Frenchman.
