# West Ham Chasing Ogbonna

West Ham and Liverpool will have scouts watch Juventus defender Angelo Ogbonna during tonight’s Champions League final, according to [ESPN](https://www.espn.co.uk/football/soccer-transfers/story/2480850/liverpool-and-west-ham-eye-juventus-defender-angelo-ogbonna).

The centre-back is in-line to replace Giogio Chiellini, who will miss out due to a calf injury sustained in training this week.

The 26-year-old hasn’t been able to nail down a place in the Juventus first team since signing for the club, due to the quality of players they already have at the position.

He has three-years left on his contract, and is an established Italian international, so it’s unlikely he’ll come on the cheap unless he expresses his desire to leave the club for first-team football.

West Ham are ‘long-term admirers’ of the player from his Torino days, and could make a bid for the player.
