West Ham United want to sign Gabonese international Mario Lemina this summer, according to Foot Mercato.
The midfielder is currently plying his trade with Southampton and it seems after a strong first season in English football, a number of Premier League clubs are keen to land him in the imminent transfer window.
Lemina was a target for West Ham last summer, but Southampton pipped them to the midfielder’s signature. The 24-year-old joined Saints for a then club-record sum of £18 million from Juventus.

The Hammers are understood to be keen on adding additional quality to their midfield options ahead of next season, with the likes of Huddersfield star Aaron Mooy having already been linked with a switch to the London Stadium.
Lemina has been inconsistent for Southampton this season but with the club having narrowly avoided the drop to the Championship, it’s likely that they will aim to keep him.
However, it seems West Ham are keen to sign Lemina, with preparations for the summer underway.
