West Ham have interviewed Shakhtar Donetsk manager Paulo Fonseca about becoming their new manager, according to Matt Lawton of The Mail.
The 45-year-old flew into London today, along with his agent Jorge Mendes, and he was taken in a private car to David Sullivan’s Essex-based mansion.
David Moyes’ short-term contract at West Ham came to an end at the end of the season and whilst the Scot did a good job in terms of keeping the Hammers in the top flight, a mutual parting of ways seems inevitable at this stage.

Fonseca, who has also been linked with a move to Everton, reportedly spent 75 minutes at Sullivan’s mansion, although there is no word of how the discussions went.
Lawton reports that former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is also on West Ham’s shortlist of potential new managers but the meeting with Fonseca could be seen as a clear indication that he is the preferred option for the Hammers.
