According to claims from the Portuguese media, West Ham have made an approach for Shakhtar Donetsk manager Paulo Fonseca.
It’s reported by A Bola that the Hammers are the latest club to join the race to appoint Fonseca, who has been earning rave reviews for his performance at Shakhtar in recent times.
The managerial position at West Ham has come under intense scrutiny in the last few months, with David Moyes’ future at the London Stadium uncertain.

Moyes led the club to a 13th-place finish in the Premier League this season, helping to steer them clear of the relegation zone after some torrid spells of form.
Fonseca has developed a reputation for playing expansive, attacking football and has been dubbed as one of Europe’s most promising managers.
This has subsequently led to a whole host of admirers forming a queue to secure his services ahead of the summer, with both West Ham and Everton seemingly among those keen.
