West Ham searching for new head of recruitment
West Ham are set to appoint a new head of recruitment as the Hammers conclude a review of their scouting setup.
Sky Sports report that the club are working with a professional consultant in an attempt overhaul their scouting setup. The club believe they have wasted too much money in the past and have relied too heavily on the influence of agents.
The new scouting system would cost the club between £2m and £4m, but the club believe that the money would be recouped through a more considered transfer approach.
It has been reported that David Moyes would be uncomfortable working with a director of football, meaning the club will not be pursuing one.
West Ham sacked their previous head of recruitment in February. Tony Henry was fired after claims he said the club would not sign anymore African players.
David Moyes looks set to get a new head of recruitment, something he has said he is comfortable working with.
