David Moyes’ West Ham picked up a valuable three points on the road against London rivals Chelsea on Sunday evening.
A second-half goal from Javier Hernandez secured a point on a day where the hosts paid tribute to the late Ray Wilkins.
The impressive result edges West Ham ever closer to safety, with the Hammers sitting six points above Southampton in 18th.
Chelsea had chances to go on and win the game, but the current Premier League champions were unable to capitalise.
Here is how we rated the players after the game.
Joe Hart - 9
Made a number of impressive saves to keep Chelsea at bay. Sent a reminder to Gareth Southgate.
Declan Rice - 7
Rice looked cool and composed on the ball and impressed against his former side.
Angelo Ogbonna - 7
Another solid performance from the Italian who continues to impress for West Ham at the back.
Aaron Cresswell - 5
Struggled to get to grips with Chelsea’s attack. He was later brought off through injury.
Pablo Zabaleta - 6
Managed to keep Eden Hazard quiet on the day, something he was clearly tasked to do.
Cheikhou Kouyate - 5
Lost his midfield battle with N’Golo Kante.
Mark Noble - 6
Couldn’t really get control of the midfield but he put himself about and did what he could.
Arthur Masuaku - 7
Masuaku continues to impress for West Ham under David Moyes.
Adds a real attacking threat with his improved end product.
Edmilson Fernandes - 5
Fernandes’ end product was lacking and he struggled to have any sort of meaningful impact.
Joao Mario - 6
A mixed game for Mario after his goal against Southampton last week. The Portuguese midfielder impressed in spells but the game got the better of him on occasions.
Marko Arnautovic - 8
Arnautovic continued his rich vein of form with another strong performance.
Worked hard on his own up top and impressed, despite not scoring.
Knocked off any early injury worries too.
Subs:
Patrice Evra – 6, came on and made an impact defensively.
Javier Hernandez – 7, the striker loves to score against Chelsea and he continued that run on Sunday.
Josh Cullen – 5, came on in the final moments, but not enough time to make an impact.
