West Ham are preparing an offer for Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, according to the Mirror.
The 25-year old has impressed on loan with Aston Villa, where he has been since January 2017, and now the Hammers are eyeing up a move.
David Moyes’ side are prepared to offer £4million to snag the United man, while sending city rival owned goalkeeper Joe Hart back to Manchester City.
United recently activated a clause to extend Johnstone’s contract to 2019, so the Hammers will need to pay up to secure the deal.
In his time with the club, Johnstone has been somewhat of a journeyman in the lower divisions, playing for a flurry of different clubs over the years on loan.
