West Ham are confident of signing Krasnodar striker Fyodor Smolov in a deal worth £15 million, according to the Mirror.
Smolov has an outstanding record in Russia, with 50 goals in 67 games for his club and a further 12 goals in 30 games for the Russian national team.
David Moyes has had his eye of the 28-year-old for a while and considered a move for him last summer but began to doubt whether Smolov could live up to the physicality requirements to make it as a top Premier League footballer.

However, the boss is keen to take a gamble on him now, despite his side still being in a desperate fight to avoid relegation this season.
If West Ham are to stay in the top flight, they will seemingly prioritise signing a new forward as no player this season has managed to reach double-figures in Premier League games.
Marko Arnautovic is currently the Hammers’ top scorer with seven league goals, closely followed by Javier Hernandez on six.
