Russian striker Fyodor Smolov wants to join West Ham before this Summer’s World Cup, according to Sky Sports.
Smolov, who plays his football for Krasnodar, is expected to leave the Russian club this Summer. If West Ham want to bring the striker to the Olympic Stadium, then they will have to fork out between £10 million and £13 million for Smolov.
According to Sky Sports, sources close to the player says West Ham “can end the Cold War” by signing Smolov.

West Ham were in talks to sign the Russian last Summer. However, then manager Slaven Bilic did not think Smolov was strong enough to play in the Premier League.
Marseille are also interested in signing Smolov. However, the striker would prefer a move to London rather than the south of France.
Smolov has an impressive goalscoring record in his home country. The striker has 50 goals in 67 games for Krasnodar and has netted 12 times in 30 games for the national side.
