In a peculiar turn of events, it seems Arthur Masuaku has seen his international duty with DR Congo brought to an abrupt end for the month and is set to return to West Ham.
As per an official statement from the FECOFA, the Hammers left-back walked out of the national team’s recent training session and is to return to his club due to him having “deplored certain organisational aspects of the course.”

Exactly what happened at DR Congo’s training camp is unknown at this stage but Masuaku was not the only player to have been sent home after what appears to be unruly behaviour. Three other players, including former Chelsea man Gael Kakuta, are stated to have walked out.
Masuaku is yet to make a senior appearance for DR Congo and was in line to do so in their upcoming game against Tanzania. This will not be the case, though, with the defender imminently returning to West Ham.
