West Ham target Bamba hoping for quick conclusion on future
West Ham have long been linked with a move for Jonathan Bamba and it seems they will have as good a chance as any to sign the player in the summer.
Bamba’s contract at Saint-Etienne expires at the end of the season and the attacker is not keen on extending, by the looks of things. The young forward is primed for a move away this summer and West Ham have been touted as a potential destination for the France Under-21 international.
Competition is likely to be fierce over Bamba’s signature on a free transfer this summer but, speaking to Goal in France, the 21-year-old confessed that no decision has been made yet over his future ahead of next season.
It’s still not sorted. I’m waiting and I hope that it will sort itself out soon.
The Hammers have been linked with a move for Bamba and reports have even indicated that they have previously made a move to land the versatile front-man.
They’ll have to fend off competition from Crystal Palace, though, with the Eagles also cited with interest in Bamba.
