Noble unlikely to be punished after clashing with fan
West Ham midfielder Mark Noble is unlikely to face any punishment after he clashed with fans on the pitch during the club’s defeat to Burnley.
The Daily Mail claims that the midfielder will not face retrospective action after a weekend to forget for those involved at the club.
Speaking after the game, Noble confirmed that he was looking to protect himself on the pitch.
People have got to realise we are footballers and we have got to protect ourselves. Obviously, a number of fans got on the pitch. I am going to protect myself for sure.
A handful of supporters made their way on the pitch to confront the players during the club’s 3-0 defeat to Burnley, something that clearly affected the squad during the game.
Large sections of the home supporters also confronted board members in the stadium, demanding answers on the current goings on at the club.
Fans vented their frustration at the board with growing discontent at the club.
