West Ham sent scouts to watch Saman Ghoddos in action for Ostersunds against Arsenal last night in the Europa League, according to ESPN.
The attacker has been catching the eye of late following some impressive displays in the Europa League. Ostersunds’ success story has captivated many and Ghoddos has been an important part of this.
Previously an international for Sweden, the 24-year-old was granted an Iranian passport last year and thereby began to represent the Iran national side.
It’s stated in the report that Ostersunds, managed by promising English boss Graham Potter, are expecting plenty of interest in Ghoddos in the summer transfer window, with the player in a good spell of form at the moment.
Ghoddos scored on four occasions and also contributed with four assists during Ostersunds’ Europa League campaign, which was brought to an end by Arsenal as they won 4-2 on aggregate in the round of 32.
West Ham will be rivalled by a number of clubs if they choose to pursue Ghoddos, though, with the likes of Brighton claimed to be watching him as well.
