West Ham put further distance between themselves and the drop zone by beating Watford 2-0 at the London Stadium.

Goals from Javier Hernandez and Marko Arnautovic sent the Hammers 5 points clear of the drop and closer to the coveted 40 point mark. Manager David Moyes now hopes West Ham can kick on, and challenge for the top ten.

Hernandez put West Ham in front, tucking home from Michail Antonio’s cross. This came after earlier having a goal ruled out for offside.

Austrian international Arnautovic wrapped up the points for West Ham, scoring a tap in to double the Irons lead on 78 minutes.

Watford had chances, mainly through Adrian Mariappa and Gerard Deufoleu, but it would come to nothing. The Hornets stay level with West Ham on 30 points, sitting in eleventh place in the Premier League Table.

Here’s how we rated the West Ham players after the 2-0 win over Watford.
