David Moyes’ West Ham pounced on a poor Stoke side on Saturday, coming away with three points after a 3-0 win.
Despite a power cut that delayed kick off by an hour, the Hammers wasted no time in getting on the front foot.
Goals from Mark Noble, Marko Arnautovic and Diafra Sakho sealed all three points to pile the pressure on Mark Hughes at Stoke.
Here is how we rated each player’s performance after the full-time whistle.
Adrian - 6
Stoke failed to test the Spaniard who had little to do.
Pablo Zabaleta - 6
Zabaleta, like Adrian didn’t have a lot to do as Stoke failed to impress going forward.
Angelo Ogbonna - 7
Ogbonna dealt with everything that was thrown his way and helped the Hammers to a clean sheet.
James Collins - 8
The central defender was immense on his return to the side. He led from the back and offered much-needed leadership to the team.
Aaron Cresswell - 7
Playing as a make-shift central defender, Cresswell handled himself very well in his new position.
Arthur Masuaku - 6
Got forward well and Stoke struggled to deal with his pace on the attack, however he was sloppy in possession.
Pedro Obiang - 7
The Spaniard dictated play through midfield and was impressive once again.
Mark Noble - 6
Was unlucky to be forced off so early through injury after scoring from the spot.
Manuel Lanzini - 7
Won the penalty for Noble in the first half, despite claims that he went down lightly.
Stoke could not get near him throughout the match and his assist for Arnautovic’s goal was simply excellent.
Marko Arnautovic - 8
Arnautovic was clearly a man on a mission against his former side. He could’ve quite easily come away with three or four goals.
He was at all game, possibly one of his best performances in a West Ham shirt, but just lacked that clinical edge in front of goal.
Michail Antonio - 5
Antonio failed to have much of an impact on the result and was overshadowed by Arnautovic’s brilliant display.
Subs:
Declan Rice – 7, Replaced Noble in the first half and did the job asked of him. Didn’t look out of place in midfield.
Diafra Sakho – 7, Did well to get his name on the scoresheet and kill the game off for the Hammers.
Javier Hernandez – 6, couldn’t do a lot in the final moments.
