Moyes is a good fit for West Ham says Curbishley
Former West Ham United manager Alan Curbishley says new boss David Moyes is a good fit for the club.
Moyes was appointed following the sacking of Slaven Bilic and the former Sunderland boss has been tasked with the job of keeping the Hammers in the Premier League.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s match away to Manchester City, Curbishley, as reported by Newham Recorder, believes Moyes will have something to prove at the club.
I think he is a good fit. He will be desperate to do well after the Sunderland job and now West Ham have a manager with over 500 games of experience and something to prove.
The meeting with Manchester City will be Moyes’ fourth game in charge at the club, but he’s yet to oversee a victory.
During his three games in charge, the Hammers have lost twice and earned just a single point against Leicester at the London Stadium.
Confidence among the squad will be low following the heavy midweek defeat against Everton at Goodison Park. The Hammers fell to a 4-0 defeat against Moyes’ former side.
