Collins set to miss Leicester fixture after injury setback
This week David Moyes has been hit with another defensive problem as it was reported by the Evening Standard that James Collins has developed a tight hamstring in training and is unlikely to be risked.
The Welshman who has been out for the past two months with a leg injury was in contention for the match day squad vs Leicester this weekend, however, he is now unlikely to be risked and may face longer on the sidelines.
After joining the club in 2008, Collins has played a pivotal role at the heart of the west ham defence but this season he has struggled to get any real game time due to injuries, and maybe this is reflected in the league position of West Ham?
Moyes has been boosted by the news that Marko Arnautovic hasn’t suffered any long-term damage to his hand after he was forced off early in the 2-0 loss away at Watford last time out. Andre Ayew will also return to the matchday squad after missing out last time due to illness.
