Moyes hopes Arnautovic can be fit for Leicester clash
West Ham boss David Moyes is hoping that winger Marko Arnautovic will be fit enough to take on Leicester City this weekend, the Daily Mail reports.
The Austrian international was in the wars in West Ham’s defeat to Watford at the weekend. He suffered an injury to his hand after Hornets defender Marvin Zeegelaar unintentionally stamped on him following a challenge.
Following the loss at Vicarage Road, Arnautovic underwent scans on his hand to determine the extent of the injury.
It looks as though it is unclear as to whether or not the club-record signing will be available to take on the Foxes this weekend, but Moyes is said to be hopeful.
Arnautovic has endured a difficult start to life at West Ham. Since his move from Stoke in the summer, he has not yet contributed a goal or an assist and has received one red card.
Moyes will hope that Arnautovic can be in contention for the game against Claude Puel’s side, as West Ham aim to break out of the ongoing rut they find themselves in.
