Speculation has been rife surrounding the men who will make up Moyes’ backroom staff in his new job, and Pearce makes his official return to the club following his tenure in London as a player.
Irvine’s most recent post was at Norwich City, where he acted as an assistant manager, before taking caretaker charge at the backend of last season.
Along with the duo, the club’s official website has also confirmed that Moyes hopes to recruit Billy McKinlay as his third assistant coach in the coming week.
McKinlay is currently in caretaker charge of Championship outfit Sunderland, who remain without a manager following the departure of Simon Grayson.
West Ham will now move forward under Moyes with a complete set of staff.
